This was the first set of mobiles I got for my sons when they where first born. These mobiles are very easy to put together and easy to attached to the crib. Be careful when attaching them to your crib especially if its wood because I put it on too tight and it actually scratched up the side of our cribs. These mobiles are wind up so you have to wind it every 3 minutes or so to keep it playing music and spinning. For us the wind up factor didn’t work because it would play music for a couple minutes then once it stopped my boys would wake up because they weren’t fully asleep yet. These mobiles are more traditional and have a great sports theme which of course being a Dad of twin boys I went for. We actually replaced these mobiles with electronic ones shortly after getting them. I got the Little Tikes Police Car for my boys 1 year birthday and they love them. I believe we have the 30th anniversary ones because there’s no sirens on the top and it has a smiley face on the front. The cardboard boxes even came in handy to make a fun train out of. The first thing I have to say is be ready for some assembly because its not the easiest toy to put together. The instructions are not that clear and some of the screws really require some serious elbow grease (power screw driver recommended). I actually got tiny blisters on my palms from the screwdriver but I do have twins and had to put two together. Little Tikes does give you some extra parts so don’t be too worried when you finish putting the police car together. My kids love these little police cars and its been over a month since they got them and they’re still interested in them and having fun. They can now get in and out on their own and can close the door. They aren’t able to lock the door shut with the plastic latch, but that’s what I’m here for. The little tikes police cars are sturdy and don’t tip over easy. They seem to be well built and have great little cup holders in the back, my sons love to put their sippy cups in them. The removable floor is great but we haven’t used it with the floor removed yet. My sons actually take turns pushing each other around in their cars and they love to crash into things… Overall these little police cars are fun, safe and built to last. I got this great swing for my boys before they were born along with another swing since I have twins. It was very easy to put the rain forest swing together and just as easy to move the swing around the house and let me tell you move it around the house we did. One of the best features about this swing is it could run off batteries or had a power adapter. We used the power adapter 90% of the time so we didn’t have to spend the extra money on those expensive D batteries. When we first got home with our boys they didn’t really care for swings too much but once they turned about 2 months old they took to the swings very well. My boys loved the little animals that spun around on the mobile and the jungle sounds soothed them right to sleep. We also loved how we could put them in the swing sitting up and when they fell asleep we could easily recline it back for them to relax. The speeds are a little tricky I don’t think it has that one perfect speed so you either get too little or too much swinging. Washing the swing was convenient because the cover is easy to take off and put back on. The open top mobile feature was nothing more than a convenience feature for putting the boys in and taking them out, they didn’t care to sit in the swing with the top up. The one thing I didn’t personally care for and my sons also didn’t like was the plastic part in between their legs and the part that came down over them like a high chair tray. They would kick their feet against the tray all the time so we actually took it off to make it more comfortable. After about 2 months of use the swing did make a little clicking noise when moving from side to side but I think this sometimes soothed the boys even more. When the boys finally outgrew the swing the little hanging animals where taken off and they love to play with them. I got the Avent bottle gift set as a baby shower gift and the bottles where perfect for our boys. We didn’t use the bottle sterilizer at all but the bottle brush was great for cleaning and we actually would boil the bottles and nipples every week or so. These Avent bottles are built to last and last they did, we used them from newborn all the way to one years old at which time we weaned the boys off formula. The newborn nipples where great too they required the perfect amount of sucking needed for the boys to drink the bottle and not have to work too hard. At about 4 months old we started giving the boys rice cereal bottles in the evening to help them sleep better through the night and we had to poke extra holes in the (#2) nipples for them to be able to suck the formula out. The bottles seem really wide in comparison to some others on the market but my sons where able to hold on to them at about 5 months. Because the bottles are wide it makes it easier to clean them out with the bottle brush. We purchased three of these bottle brushes over a period of one year and I have twins so they do last a good amount of time. The bottle brush also has a pointy part on the handle that was great for getting down into the hard to reach nipple tips. The one thing about these bottles and I don’t know if it was a Daddy error or the bottles but they would leak from time to time. Sometimes we would screw the bottle top on, shake it and formula would leak out a little bit. If the bottle leaked we would unscrew it and put it back on and that usually fixed the leak. Sometimes during nigh time feedings when it was dark we would get a little frustrated with the leaky bottles but it wasn’t often this happened and to be honest I would use these bottles again. We tried other bottles, with bags and elbow shaped bottles and our boys seemed to like these the best. Our boys didn’t seem to get too much air with these bottles which was very nice and I say this because it would take a lot to get a burp out of them after they finished a bottle. Sorry that I can’t say more about the sterilizer but my wife preferred to boil the bottles frequently rather then use the sterilizer. In the hospital when the boys where born they had pampers newborn diapers and we started with those but found they leaked too often. We switched over to Huggies when they boys turned 2 weeks old and have never looked back. I think the name says it all when it comes to these Diapers “Snug & Dry” and that’s what you get happy campers with diapers that don’t leak. We’ve been using Huggies for about one year now and have no intention of switching to any other brand and hope to get these boys potty trained sooner than later. I have twins which means twice the diapers and price is important to me but for the quality of this diaper you can’t beat the price. We buy ours at Costco and get 200 size four diapers for around $40.00. We use these for nigh time diapers too and have a good trick for your kids if they sleep through the night. This trick was handed down from our Aunt Cryssy who gets all the credit. So when the boys started sleeping through the night at about 12 months ‘Thank God” we would put two diapers on them to avoid having to wake them and change their diapers. The trick to this, is to put the first diaper on and rip a big hole in the front area then put the second diaper on. This allows for both diapers to absorb all the pee and not leak over night. It’s also important to use lots of Desitin if you do this… We have had one or two leaks over the night but that’s mostly because I didn’t put the diaper on properly, so my wife says.  These diapers seem to be a great fit for my boys, the elastic doesn’t bother them and they don’t have to be too tight to avoid leaking. Disney Pluto 16 Inch Plush Toy Review:

Let me start by saying my sons have almost 50 or so stuffed animals and these are amongst their favorites. So there’s not much you can really say good or bad about a stuffed animal but I will give it my best shot. First off these Pluto stuffed animals are made from quality material they are so soft and yet so durable. We have washed these little guys about 3 times now on a warm cold cycle and they are like brand new every time we do so. My sons love to drag them around the house by their big soft floppy ears or long tails. Disney did a great job on these and my sons love to run and purposely fall on top of Pluto and give him kisses and hugs. As you see in the picture to the left Pluto gets his cuddle time with my sons. I like the fact he doesn’t have a plastic noise or plastic eyes so we don’t have to worry about those falling off. I researched high chairs for about two days online before deciding to purchase this one for my sons. I got these high chairs for my sons when they where about 11 months old. So far we are very happy with these high chairs and have no complaints. They do require some assembly but if your at the high chair stage you are probably already a master at putting baby / kids things together and this is no challenge. These chairs are not only comfortable but built to last and have proven to be very sturdy. My sons love to get in these high chairs and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, they also sometimes just want to hang out in them and play. The tray has a removable, dishwasher safe top that makes cleaning after a messy meal very quick and easy. The tray is adjustable and locks in place very easy and has plenty of room for them to grown and still not be squished by the tray. The seat cover is not only cute but easy to clean and we have yet to have a permanent stain show up. We use the vacuum cleaner to get in the corners of the seat and a damp sponge to clean them off after meals. We have put the seat covers in the wash only once in two months because they stay so clean. It’s also easy to quickly remove the seat cover and clean any food that got underneath it, but the cover fits good, so not much gets underneath. The seat back has different positions but we only use it all the way forward. One of the coolest features about these chairs is the height is easily adjusted by pressing two buttons and sliding the chair up or down. This makes it really easy to pull them up to the table or feed them standing up. You can also quickly fold the legs in to move it around or store it in the closet if needed, we don’t use this feature because we leave the chairs out. The wheels have locking mechanisms on them to keep them from moving but on our hardwood floors they still slide around pretty easy. The bonus toy has a suction cup on it so you can suction it to the tray and let your kids play with it while they eat, we don’t use the toy while we eat but my sons love to play with it around the house. The one downer about these chairs is they aren’t really meant for traveling so for us with twins they are too big to pack up and take on the road. I got this for my sons before they got home from the hospital and its such a great vintage Disney crib set. I will be honest you pay for what you get and this isn’t a cheap crib set so it’s worth every penny. It may also become a collectors item later, who knows. The fitted sheet and the dust ruffle are a great fit and the combination of the designs look great on our crib. The bumper pad and the blanket is what I like the most about this crib set. The bumper pad is reversible and has thick padding to protect kids from hitting their heads. This bumper pad is sturdy even without strings holding it up it will stand tall and not fall down all the time. On one side of the bumper pad it has a solid dark blue pattern and the other side is Mickey characters playing different sports. The characters on the bumper pad and blanket are embroidered on which gives it the cool vintage look. The blank is very soft and cozy but also very warm, it’s a thick blanket that also has the embroidered Mickey characters playing different sports. We put this set on my son Dylan’s crib and its a good fit, the only thing that I didn’t like and this was more an issue with the crib than the crib set, is the bumper strings weren’t long enough to wrap around the thick crib posts. I had to actually tie extra strings to the bumper pad strings to make it work. All four pieces in the crib set are machine washable, we have been washing it regularly for more than a year now and the colors have been holding up great. My son Dylan loves to point at the bumper pad and blanket and say “Ball”, “Ball”. My two sons apparently love sports thanks to my influence and ball is one of their favorite words. If your a Mickey fan or Disney fan this crib set is the perfect fit that your kids will love, and the price isn’t bad for the quality. I got this as the second crib once my twin boys started rolling over in their sleep and needed their own space. There are so many cribs too pick from at the store but when I saw this one which was on sale at the time I couldn’t resist to get it for Dylan. First things first, you will need a truck to get this home if you buy it at a store, I had my 2008 Honda CRV and had to take everything out of the box to make it fit and it barley made it. Thanks to the nice guy at Babies R Us who helped me unpack it and load it into my car, I got it home safe and sound. This is really a crib for life in my opinion, I can see it being more appealing to an older kid than a younger one. Now when I look at it I hope my son likes it when he hits 3 or 4 years old because its not as cool as a race car crib or bunk beds for both the boys. Either way I’m sure he will love it no matter what. The crib is made from real cherry wood and its built real sturdy, its probably one of the most solid pieces of furniture in my house. The stain on it is amazing, it really has a modern dark cherry look without too much red. Putting this crib together will take a little time, it wasn’t the hardest to build I just had to follow the instructions which are pretty good. You will also need a helper when you put it together to hold up some parts while you tighten down the screws. If you purchase this crib remember it wont fit through a bedroom door so if you build it in your bedroom and plan to move it later you will have to take it apart and put it back together to move it. The adjustable spring the mattress sits on is great, it has three settings to allow you to adjust the height of the mattress. The one thing about the adjustable spring frame I had problems with is I tried to put it all the way down and it took me over one hour to get almost all the screws to line up properly and in the end one of them didn’t even fit in right. Even with this screw alignment issue it still works fine for me and my son. Because the frame is thick and sturdy most bumper pads wont have strings long enough to fit around the corner posts, I had to tie extra strings on to my bumper pad to make it work. This crib is absolutely beautiful, built of solid cherry wood and I think it will last until my son goes to college. Babies R Us sells these online or in their stores.
